Corrections Policy

How corrections, source updates and material errors are handled.

Last updated: 1 August 2026

How to request a correction

Send a request through the Contact page or email hello@chinomuse.com. Include the ChinoMuse page URL, the exact statement or material at issue, why it may be inaccurate or unauthorised, the requested outcome and a stable source. Copyright, trademark, privacy or credit claims should identify the affected material, the rights asserted, the claimant’s relationship to the rights holder and a reliable way to verify authority. Do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary identity documents.

How a request is checked

  1. The request is recorded and screened for a specific, verifiable issue.
  2. The published wording, Sources, Last Verified date, Disclosure and Rights record are reviewed.
  3. Where appropriate, ChinoMuse checks the original first-party source and seeks confirmation from the brand, rights holder or another responsible party.
  4. The evidence, decision and any required clarification or correction are documented internally.
  5. A material revision completes QA and human approval before the public record is restored or updated.

How changes are shown

Spelling, formatting and non-material clarity edits may be made without a prominent correction note. A factual change affecting identity, specifications, availability, rights, disclosure, interpretation or the conclusion should update the relevant source record and Last Verified date. A visible correction or update note is added when readers could otherwise be misled. Previous evidence and the editorial decision remain in the internal audit history.

Major errors and rights problems

If a credible issue could materially mislead readers, expose personal or confidential information, infringe rights or create safety or legal risk, ChinoMuse may immediately hide the affected media or page, add a notice, return the record to review, correct attribution, remove material or archive the record while the issue is investigated. A temporary removal is a risk-control step and does not determine ownership or admit liability. Traffic, search ranking or a commercial relationship does not delay a necessary correction.

Source changes and unavailable pages

An official page may change, move or disappear after verification. A broken source does not automatically make every recorded fact false, but material claims must be rechecked before the record is refreshed. If a current authoritative source contradicts a ChinoMuse page, the affected claim is corrected, qualified or removed. Where reliable confirmation is no longer available, the page may remain unpublished or be archived rather than presented as current.

Responses and disagreements

ChinoMuse assesses credible correction requests on their evidence but cannot promise a fixed response time or accept every requested wording. A brand’s preference may be considered but does not override documented fact or editorial independence. If a request is not accepted, the evidence and reasoning may be retained internally. Privacy requests are handled under the Privacy Policy.
