Editorial Policy

Purpose and scope

ChinoMuse covers Chinese Design & Culture, Smart Products from China and Emerging Chinese Brands for a global audience. Product Profiles, Brand Profiles, Guides and Stories have different editorial roles, but all public content must meet the same evidence, rights, disclosure, QA and human-approval standards.

Verification and sources

Factual claims are checked against identifiable first-party sources wherever possible, including official brand and product pages, catalogues, specifications, public company records, contact pages and written confirmations. Marketplaces, social posts, search snippets, archives and third-party coverage may support discovery or context but do not automatically establish identity, authorship, current specifications, availability or international shipping. Governed records identify Sources and a Last Verified date. Material uncertainty, translation judgment or source conflict is stated rather than presented as settled fact.

How online material is used

Public access is not treated as permission to copy. ChinoMuse extracts verifiable facts, records the source and access date, distinguishes a source’s claim from ChinoMuse analysis and writes an original summary. It does not republish third-party articles, product descriptions or database entries as ChinoMuse copy. Short quotations are used only when the wording itself matters, with attribution and no more than is reasonably necessary for the editorial purpose.

Automated tools may help locate or organise public information, but a search result, scraped field, translation or AI summary is not accepted as evidence on its own. Pages that cannot be verified, appear deceptive, conflict materially or lack an identifiable responsible source remain unpublished or are described with the relevant limitation.

Rights and media

Editorial interest, public availability and source credit are not permission to copy media. ChinoMuse publishes an image only when it owns the image, has documented authorisation, uses an identified licence that covers the intended use or has recorded another legally reviewed basis applicable to that specific use. The source, creator or rights holder, credit, permitted channels, territory, modification rights and relevant term are recorded at asset level. Media with an unknown, rejected, pending or expired basis remains unpublished.

Reviews, testing and experience claims

ChinoMuse does not use “Review”, “Tested”, “Hands-on”, “We tried” or equivalent wording unless the relevant experience actually occurred and the method, conditions, duration, sample source and limitations are disclosed. Public manufacturer information can verify what the manufacturer states; it cannot by itself prove durability, comfort, safety or performance.

Disclosure and editorial independence

Affiliate links, sponsorship, payment, supplied samples, gifts, travel or other material support are disclosed where relevant. Commercial participation does not guarantee publication, ranking, positive coverage or immunity from correction. Sponsored and editorial formats must be clearly distinguishable.

Use of AI

AI may assist candidate discovery, source organisation, translation, transcription, briefing, drafting, metadata, SEO/GEO suggestions and quality checks. AI output is not evidence, cannot grant media rights, cannot invent experience and cannot publish autonomously. Factual claims must be checked against sources, rights must be documented and a human must approve publication. Credentials and unrelated private information must not be placed into editorial AI workflows.

Publication gate and updates

The governed workflow moves through discovery, screening, verification, rights clearance, drafting, QA review, human review and approval before publication. Required Rights, Sources, Disclosure, Last Verified and approval fields must be complete. Attempts to bypass the publication gate through administrative or API access are blocked and logged. Material changes may return a record to verification. Published records may be corrected, refreshed or archived when evidence, rights or availability changes.
