What it is
SHELL is a WUU family of containers and display objects shaped by a consistent diagonal cut. The official description links the idea to a reverse diagonal sword cut, applying the same angle to metal and stone so that different scales and materials remain recognisably part of one series.
Why the design matters
Hollowing is both the manufacturing act and the functional decision. Opening, depth and capacity determine whether a form can hold incense, flowers, fruit or smaller desktop objects. The cut face and outer wall make that removal of material visible instead of disguising it as a generic bowl or vase.

A shallow form suitable for incense is not automatically a watertight vase; a stone piece will also differ in weight and natural pattern from an anodised aluminium version.
Care and placement
Before placing flowers, fruit, ash or wet material inside a piece, the exact variant’s care and lining guidance should be confirmed. Natural stone can vary, while anodised aluminium can mark if cleaned abrasively. Weight, furniture protection, stability and heat from incense also require practical consideration.
