What it is
Yeelight Cube Smart Lamp is a modular ambient-light system built around separate illuminated cubes and a control base. The checked official store lists three visual modules: Matrix, which presents a grid of circular pixels; Panel, which produces a continuous coloured face; and Spot, which directs light through a circular opening. The modules connect magnetically and can be arranged in a line or stacked configurations supported by the system.

Why the modular form matters
Cube turns the light source into a small construction system. Matrix is useful for simple pixel graphics, Panel creates larger blocks of colour, and Spot changes the direction of emitted light. The important practical distinction is that the visual module and the control base are not interchangeable terms: a configuration needs a compatible base, and the official maximum of six cubes limits how far one chain can grow.
Connectivity and setup
The official page lists Matter alongside app and ecosystem control. Matter support should still be checked against the exact regional package, firmware, border router or controller and home platform in use. The product uses 2.4GHz Wi-Fi rather than 5GHz Wi-Fi. Bluetooth is part of the published wireless record, but the exact role of Bluetooth during setup or daily control can depend on current software.
Before choosing it
Confirm whether the package includes the control base, which module variant is selected and how many additional cubes are supported by the supplied power arrangement. Plan a stable surface and enough room for the intended stack. Magnetic connection describes assembly, not resistance to impact or a guarantee that every improvised arrangement is mechanically suitable.
What remains unverified
ChinoMuse has not assembled, synchronized, measured or operated the system. Colour accuracy, animation smoothness, app reliability, latency, platform support and long-term connector wear cannot be established from a product page. The profile records manufacturer-published facts and does not make a performance guarantee.
Sources and imagery
The official product page was checked on 26 August 2026. The card uses the official Matrix Cube plus Base image; the wide visual uses a separate official room scene, so the product page does not repeat its card image. Public photography is quoted editorially, with no claim of partnership, authorization or testing.
