Footprint and stability
The official dimensions describe a broad, low floor object. It needs enough clear space for the mat to lie flat and for a cat to approach the tent and post from more than one direction. The product combines rigid board and alloy components with textile surfaces and scratching rope. Those parts will not wear at the same rate.
