What it is

Why the folding geometry matters
A folding table should be evaluated as a sequence, not as two static dimensions. Tree’s support and top sections change their relationship as the table closes. The official photography shows the leaves lifting and the base becoming visually narrower. Before purchase, the useful question is whether the room has enough clear space for the movement and whether the folded form has a planned place, not merely whether the open top fits.
Measure all three states
The official page gives overall dimensions for the S and L versions but does not provide every intermediate clearance measurement. Mark the full open footprint on the floor, then allow additional room for chairs and for a person operating the folding parts. Confirm the folded depth and stability directly with the current seller if the upright screen position is essential to the room plan. Keep fingers, loose fabric and nearby objects away from hinges while changing states.
Materials need finish confirmation
The manufacturer lists oak or walnut with E0 plywood and veneer. That record does not establish the thickness of every layer, coating chemistry, scratch resistance or resistance to heat and moisture. Ask for a current finish sample when colour matching matters. Use trivets and follow the manufacturer’s cleaning guidance rather than assuming the surface behaves like solid timber throughout.
Who it may suit
Tree is relevant where one room alternates between dining, circulation and visual separation. It is less compelling if the table will remain permanently open, because the additional folding mechanism then brings complexity without using its main benefit. It should not be treated as a load-bearing partition, safety barrier or acoustic divider unless the manufacturer explicitly documents those functions.
