CIGA design is a Chinese original-design watch brand founded in 2016. Instead of relying on heritage styling, it makes the movement, display and case the design statement. The result is mechanical watchmaking presented as contemporary industrial design.
Why ChinoMuse follows CIGA design
Many watches use a familiar dial layout and differentiate through finish. CIGA design’s Blue Planet concept works at a more structural level: the globe-like centre, fixed hour scale and moving minute scale change how time is read. The interface is therefore inseparable from the visual identity.
Independent recognition
The original CIGA Design Blue Planet received the 2021 Challenge Watch Prize from the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. That award belongs to the earlier Blue Planet record, not automatically to every later variant. ChinoMuse uses it as verified context for the design lineage and does not imply that Blue Planet II has the same specification or award status.
