Aqara develops hubs, sensors, controllers, lighting, curtain products and other components for connected interiors. The useful unit is not a single gadget but a system: one device provides network coordination, another observes a condition, and an automation turns that condition into an action.
Why the brand matters
Aqara sits at the meeting point of its own ecosystem and wider smart-home standards. That creates flexibility, but it also makes compatibility more important than appearance alone. Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth describe different roles; a logo on a box does not remove the need for the correct controller, border router, app, region and firmware.
